Terms of Use
Waddle · Last updated: August 1, 2026
Waddle is a game about walking, baking and a duck named Doug. It is made by one person. Use it for fun; do not rely on it as a fitness tracker, a medical device, or a source of health advice.
What the app is
Waddle is a single-player iPhone game. You walk in the real world, that walk earns grocery bags, you bake with the ingredients and sell what you bake. It is played entirely on your device. There is no account, no server, no multiplayer and no leaderboard.
It is a game, not a health product
The app reads your step count from Apple Health so that walking can drive the game. It is not a fitness tracker, a training plan, or a medical device, and nothing in it is health advice. Step counts come from Apple Health and inherit whatever accuracy your device provides; the app does not verify or correct them.
Walk sensibly and pay attention to where you are going. Do not use the app while driving, cycling, or anywhere that needs your full attention. If you have a condition that affects how much you should exercise, talk to a clinician rather than a duck.
Your data
Your bakery and your progress live on your device. The app makes no network requests and sends nothing anywhere, so there is no copy for us to hold, restore or transfer. If you delete the app, that data is gone unless it is in your own device backup. The privacy policy has the detail.
In-game currency and items
Gems, ingredients, recipes, equipment and decor exist only inside the game on your device. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money or anything outside the game, and are not property. Game balance may change in an update, which can change what things cost or earn.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to reverse engineer, tamper with, or redistribute the app, except where that right cannot be excluded by law. The artwork, characters (including Doug) and code are the developer's and are not licensed for reuse.
Beta software
Where you are using the app through TestFlight, it is pre-release software. Expect bugs, expect balance to change, and expect that a future build may reset saved progress. Do not treat a beta build as a safe place for anything you would be upset to lose.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. It may contain bugs, and it may stop working after an iOS update.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including lost game progress. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
If these terms change, the "Last updated" date above will change and the current version will always be the one posted at this URL.
